Mr. Seifert serves as [Vice President] and Assistant General Counsel of The Energy & Minerals Group.  Prior to joining EMG in July 2015, Mr. Seifert was a corporate associate at Vinson & Elkins, L.L.P. where he focused his practice on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments and project development in the energy industry.  He advised exploration and production companies, midstream companies, oilfield services companies, private equity sponsors and related portfolio companies, investment banks and developers.  Prior to his legal career, Mr. Seifert was a petroleum landman in the Barnett Shale from 2005 to 2007.

Mr. Seifert graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington & Lee University in 2004 with a BA in English and Studio Art and received a JD from the University of Texas School of Law in 2010 graduating with honors.
