Lee R. Raymond

Mr. Raymond serves as a Senior Partner and is on the Investment Committee for all funds managed by The Energy & Minerals Group (EMG).  Mr. Raymond was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of ExxonMobil Corporation from 1999 until he retired in December 2005.  ExxonMobil’s principal business is energy, involving exploration for and production of crude oil and natural gas, refining of petroleum and petrochemical products, and transportation and sale of crude oil, natural gas, petroleum and petrochemical products.  He had been Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Exxon Corporation from 1993 until its merger with Mobil Oil Corporation in 1999, having begun his career in 1963 with Exxon. He was a director of Exxon Corporation from 1984 to 1999 and Exxon Mobil Corporation from 1999 to 2005.

Mr. Raymond graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1960 and received a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1963.  He is an emeritus trustee of the Mayo Clinic, a member of the National Academy of Engineering and a member and past Chairman of the National Petroleum Council.  Mr. Raymond serves on the Board of Directors of JPMorgan Chase & Co.  Mr. Raymond also serves on an advisory panel to Temasek.
