Mr. Smyth serves as a Controller of The Energy & Minerals Group (EMG).  Prior to joining EMG in February 2013, Mr. Smyth served as a Senior Manager at KPMG LLP in their audit practice.  While at KPMG, Mr. Smyth was the lead manager on a number of financial services clients, including private equity funds, real estate funds and insurance companies.

Mr. Smyth graduated from Texas A&M with a BBA in Accounting and an MS in Finance in 2005.  Mr. Smyth is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.
