Mr. Bajec serves as Managing Director of Tax for The Energy & Minerals Group EMG).  Mr. Bajec is responsible for all tax matters relating to the Fund, including statutory tax compliance and tax consultation on the acquisition and disposition of the Fund’s investments.  Prior to joining EMG in November 2014, Mr. Bajec worked as a Tax Partner at KPMG.  Mr. Bajec began his career in public accounting in 1995 in Houston, focused primarily on serving companies in the energy sector.  Mr. Bajec transferred to KPMG’s Washington National Tax practice in 2002 where he spent two years serving as a firm-wide technical resource on a variety of tax matters, including the state taxation of pass-through entities.  Shortly after transferring to Dallas in 2005, Mr. Bajec became the State and Local Tax Practice Leader for KPMG’s Dallas office where he developed extensive experience providing large-scale tax compliance and consulting services to multi-national companies in a variety of industries.

Mr. Bajec graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Accounting and a Masters in Taxation in 1995.  Mr. Bajec is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas and a member of the AICPA.
